AI video editing: reviewing audience retention on YouTube
Combine retention analysis, scripting, editing and AI tools while protecting clarity and narrative rhythm.

Treat retention as a clueAutomate tasks you can reviewCompare relevant formats and audiencesTreat retention as a clue
An audience drop is a reason to investigate, not a complete diagnosis. Review what viewers expected, whether the introduction delivered and whether the video is repeating information.
Write one hypothesis for each segment: perhaps an example arrives too late, text is hard to read or too many concepts appear at once. Not every drop needs more cuts.
Automate tasks you can review
AI can assist with transcription, preliminary selections or subtitle versions. Check names, numbers and cuts before including them in the final edit.
Rhythm still requires direction. Alternate explanation, demonstration and pauses as the topic needs. Effects and sound should guide attention without obscuring the message.
Compare relevant formats and audiences
Compare videos with similar topics and lengths. Review retention, traffic sources and comments alongside the channel objective. No single duration guarantees income or performance.
Record changes for the next script and keep versions. Learning across releases is more useful than attributing the result to one tool.
