MOTION AND AUDIO / NICKE STUDIO GUIDES

Motion graphics and AI: maps and visuals that explain

Produce animated maps and graphics with verifiable information, clear hierarchy and reviewed AI-generated assets.

Define what the viewer should understand

An animated map should clarify a location, route or spatial relationship. A chart should communicate a specific comparison. Write the idea in one sentence before animating.

Keep the data source identifiable and check labels, units and scale. A generated image is neither a cartographic source nor evidence of an event.

Separate information from decoration

AI can help develop references, sketches or atmospheric elements. Borders, routes, figures and timelines require verifiable construction and review.

Separate informational layers from decorative layers. This makes it easier to correct a fact or adapt a format without rebuilding the entire piece.

Prepare delivery for the edit

Agree on resolution, aspect ratio, duration, background and editable files. Check contrast and readability at the actual viewing size, especially on mobile.

Synchronize emphasis and entrances with the narration. Give viewers enough time to read and understand; more movement does not necessarily improve an explanation.
