MOTION AND AUDIO / NICKE STUDIO GUIDES

Sound design for AI videos: voice, foley and mixing

Review voices, effects and mixing in AI-assisted video production for clear and consistent delivery.

Give the voice priority

The first test of a mix is whether the message is understandable. Check noise, level changes and sounds competing with the voice. Listen through headphones and a small speaker as well as studio monitors.

For generated speech, review pronunciation, breaths and continuity between fragments. Secure appropriate permissions when reproducing a person’s vocal identity.

Choose purposeful effects

Sound effects can give an action weight or connect shots. Decide which sounds support the story and which distract. Avoid adding an impact to every transition by habit.

For AI-generated footage, verify that the sound corresponds to what is on screen. Keep a record of recording sources and licenses.

Agree on the delivery package

Define whether delivery includes a final mix, separate stems, music-free versions or platform adaptations. Technical targets depend on the publication channel.

Review synchronization, peaks, intelligibility and consistency from start to finish. A good soundtrack can support a piece without drawing attention to itself.
